Atrium Theatre is now accepting submissions of original scripts

web site

Atrium Theatre is now accepting submissions of original scripts for its 1st season of staged readings. We are accepting submissions of full-length and one-act plays in all genres. This initiative gives local and regional playwrights the opportunity to have plays developed by professional actors in a day long intensive workshop that culminates in a dramatic staged reading, with potential for your play to continue on for a full production with Atrium Theatre at a future date.

Atrium Theatre offers play readings in a studio space (601 Kingston Rd. #109, Toronto, Ontario). It is an intimate evening of art and conversation for an invite-only crowd, focusing on presentation of the best new plays from around the country that have rarely or never been seen. Readings are book-in-hand, and playwrights have the opportunity to engage with the audience for a post-reading talk back. Limit submissions to plays that have 4 or fewer characters. Selected playwrights will not be offered any money.

To submit a play for consideration, e-mail the script to atriumtheatre@rogers.com with a cover letter describing the piece.
